Make your PDF applications ATS and search friendly by enriching keywords in metadata.

Portable Document Format (PDF) has become the de-facto industry standard that avoids all the problems of readability, formatting and compatibility with digital documents and graphics. The Metadata available in your application documents in the PDF format provide additional information for the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) that serve as the first line of filter. When recruiters or hiring managers search for candidate profiles in the Applicant Tracking Systems, the Metadata available in your application documents makes your application searchable without the system having to go through the resource-intensive process of text extraction.

To support database search, Adobe added a feature called Marked Content, which allows PDF documents to contain additional tags. However, this feature needs to be used in the creation of the PDF – otherwise the additional information is not there. However, most word processors remove this valuable Metadata when exporting to PDF format.

To overcome this scenario, we developed MetaWire – a sophisticates tool with a simple user interface – to embed keywords and additional information for ATS to improve the match rate when hiring personnel search for candidates profile in the ATS database.
